The Indian smartphone market is gearing up for an exciting start to the new year. On January 6, major brands Xiaomi and Realme will unveil their latest mid-range devices, bringing new options for buyers looking for powerful cameras, fast charging, and refreshed designs.
Both companies have officially confirmed their launch plans, with smartphones and tablets set to debut on the same day.
Redmi Note 15 5G: Big Camera and Fast Charging
Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Redmi Note 15 5G in India on January 6. The smartphone is expected to focus heavily on photography and battery performance.
According to official details, the Redmi Note 15 5G will feature a 108MP primary camera, aimed at users who enjoy high-resolution photography. The device will pack a 5,520mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, allowing quicker top-ups during daily use.
The smartphone will also come with an IP66 rating, offering resistance against dust and water splashes. On the software front, it is expected to run Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 interface on top.

200MP Camera and “Urban Wild” Design
One of the standout features of the Realme 16 Pro series is its 200MP camera, positioning it among the highest-resolution camera phones in its segment.
The series introduces what Realme calls the “Urban Wild Design,” which blends natural textures with modern urban styling. The company says this design philosophy is meant to offer a sense of freedom within fast-paced city life.
Realme has partnered with renowned industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa for this series, bringing a unique aesthetic to the devices.
