Sandeep Reddy Vanga Praises Yash’s ‘Toxic’ Teaser, Calls It a Powerful Knockout

The teaser of Yash’s upcoming film Toxic dropped on January 8, marking the actor’s 40th birthday, and it has already created a strong buzz across the film industry. Among those impressed is filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who shared his admiration soon after the teaser went live.

Best known for directing Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, and Animal, Vanga took to X to express his reaction. Calling the teaser impactful and intense, he wrote that it “just knocked me out,” highlighting its style, attitude, and raw chaos. He also extended warm birthday wishes to Yash, adding to the celebratory mood around the teaser launch.

Toxic, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, features Yash in a bold new avatar. The actor has also co-written the film alongside the director. In the teaser, Yash is introduced as Raya, a character that exudes menace and unpredictability. The clip opens in a graveyard, where conversations hint at Raya’s notorious reputation. Moments later, he makes a dramatic entrance with the line “Daddy’s home,” setting off an explosive sequence that defines the film’s dark tone.

The project boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles. On the technical side, Toxic brings together a strong crew with Rajeev Ravi handling cinematography, Ujwal Kulkarni as editor, and Ravi Basrur composing the music. The film’s action is designed by an international team led by JJ Perry, Anbariv, Kecha Khamphakdee, and Amrit Singh.

Within hours of its release, the teaser reportedly crossed six million views on YouTube, reflecting the massive anticipation surrounding the film. Titled Toxic – A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, the movie is set to hit theatres on March 19. Expectations are especially high as this marks Yash’s first major release after the blockbuster KGF series. The excitement is further amplified by its box-office clash with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar Part 2, directed by Aditya Dhar.
